Press Release
Eagle Scout Project benefits Depot Museum
Boy Scouts from troop 1836 teamed up to provide some much needed improvements to the Depot Museum in Cameron on April 23. Joseph Christensen, working to achieve rank of Eagle Scout, organized a group of 17 volunteers to work on projects at the Depot. Starting early in the morning, the volunteers worked until a rock garden had been revitalized, picnic tables had been rebuilt and the original CB&Q Crossing gate on display had been rebuilt to look nearly new. The Depot Museum remains a great local showplace and the work done by Christensen and his group of volunteers helps ensure it will stay that way for years to come. More information about the museum is available at www.cameronhistory.com or on Facebook.
